The default template and how to change it

Postby reid on Thu Sep 13, 2007 10:20 pm

.....We have been on "Invision blue "for the past few days.

For the better appearance of our header logo, I thought to make "Classic" our general default.
The whiter pages of Classic also facilitate our ability to indent text using the white dot method.

You may still have Invision blue, or any of the several other template options.

Here's how to alter the template, as told by screenshot images]

Invision blue has its look that we may like overall; it's just that the title placement is too high and lacks ideal legibility,
and also the avatar placement is visually divorced from the title. Not so good. Too bad these things are not adjustable:

Up soon, we hope: templates that we will customize. Would like to have options for full-width templates, such as this present view;
also half-width such as Poets.org employs. I happen to prefer the latter, for the easier reading of prose texts; long lines are hard to follow.

In any event, be assured that you will have options of two or more -good and fitting templates to choose from-.

We are also looking into automatic indentation to help ease your formatting tasks.
The Critical Poet has that feature. So we know it can be done. Somehow!

Stay tuned, and offer your reactions and wishes for a better FPR.

Customized titles are goofy but fun. I'd love to have one. It kind of adds more package-appeal.

I'll make one up for you right now.
And this will spur you to learn how to work the admin panel;
yes, you'll have to make a new and proper title yourself.

Now, what to do for a test title for bandita?

I'm thinking

tell me what you'd like? :twisted:

For the meanwhile, I'll apply a more neutral title than

"dances with poetry"

:wink:

You can always retitle me. Please do! It would be fun.
I love silliness most of all. And you.

point: we co-admins are known at that by the rank color bold green.
and the list of admins appears on the portal page.

and in the spirit of putting badges out of sight as much as possible;
why should we have authoritarian logos on our faces?

just a thought,
