Dear Poetry Aficionados,

Poetry & Poets in Rags blog

We've got the poetry blues this week. We begin with the Syrian poet Adonis saying how the West is indifferent to poetry. We then have former U.S. poet laureate Billy Collins saying it's the poets' fault. And we have Ekanpou Enewaridideke, president of Ijaw Peoples Congress, lamenting similarly about Nigerian poets. These are our first three articles. And if you're not into the blues, it's an intercontinental issue as well, as we have dozens more items to click into on all sorts of topics from around the world, and some terrific poetry as usual.

Thanks for stopping by.

Yours,
Rus
