New Policies

Postby Cameron on Tue Apr 01, 2008 7:39 pm

After much deliberation, we members of the admin team have decided to implement some new rules and policies. We hope that with these new rules, we can continue to make this forum a great place for artists to experiment, converse, and improve their work.

  • First of all, every member is required to log in at least once a week or have his/her membership revoked. Since we have so few members, we cannot afford for anyone to shirk their duty by being absent.
  • As you know, use of the word "soul" in poetry posted on this forum is already discouraged. We decided this was not working well enough in keeping up the level of poetic quality we expect here. Anyone who uses the word "soul" in a poem posted here will be summarily banned.
  • To help cover certain costs of hosting and administration, there will be a $5 annual membership fee charged. Please deposit yours in the "Community Chest" at the bottom of this page. That's what it's there for.
  • We have also decided, in the interest of letting bygones be bygones, to invite Mor and Egoian (also known as E) to return to the forum in the capacity of global moderators. They have promised us that they will not misuse their new powers to delete criticism of themselves. We look forward to hearing their unique insights.

We thank you for your cooperation. Have a nice DAY.

-The Admin Team

Ahem. Still trying to decide whether there's a tongue in cheek here or not.

I do think you should consider a ban on the word "penguin".

PS. Standing firm regarding penguin.

Cameron, has your name changed colour or were you always a mod and I just didn't notice (because I'm a closet blonde)? If it's a new promotion, congratulations and champagne all round.

I just got promoted last week. I was a mod before, but now I'm an ADMIN. I've already tweaked a few things, as you might notice. :)

Thanks, but I'm a teetotaller.

Lemonade for you then, it's bubbly enough to go up your nose and everyone knows the nostril is the party zone.

More tweaking, I say! Not because I think there are any great problems, but because I think tweaking is such a brilliant word. It sounds like the noise an epileptic mouse would make. Or maybe that's just in my head...

Also, more power to you for even suggesting that shirkers should be punished. Though something much more strange and exotic than simple banishment is in order. Perhaps spamming them with poems by Maya Angelou?

I know, that's why I love to say it so much. Tweak! Tweak! Tweak! I never edit my poems, only tweak them. :)

I can actually send mass emails now...

Do you tweak your quibbles? No doubt it gives your poems more soul...

No, but I often quibble over my tweaks.

When Cam thinks his poetry reeks
He touches it up with some tweaks
But if there are quibbles
Infesting his scribbles
He's tweaking his reeking for weeks

Aargh, can you tell I'm bored?

I am afraid you have fallen under a Rhymunitis Infection by way of the beautiful Leanne. Because of this, and the fact that I am evidently The Bully King, (my new personal anthem is Woolly Bully by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs) I shall have to terminate your account. I regret this action, but it is necessary on this particular day to tell you this. Oh, look, there is Admin Cam, now you see him, ~*~*

now you don't.

woolly bully, woolly bully, woooooooolllllly bully. watchitnow, watchitnow, watchitnow, woolly bully
