My little trabajador's

Tougher critique without any charring.

My little trabajador's

Postby Abilene on Thu May 28, 2009 11:51 pm

This poem was born last week while I coached a softball game. I
swear I witnessed the greatest comeback in softball history. We've lost
every game up until now, so it was a blessed victory.

The sun had set over the old ball field
Disappointment lingered in their young faces
I felt flushed and yet cold...as the wild pitches rained in
Then my girl got on base
One by one they battled their way on
My little trabajador's
The life fell back upon us all
The old ball field felt alive and fun again
As each girl came alive
With their own super reign...
