In six weeks I leave to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (commonly called Mormons.) I've been assigned to serve in Las Vegas, an irony not lost on those of my acquaintance, but I'm looking forward to it. Anyway, I'll have neither the time nor the means to frequent this forum during the two-years I'll be doing this, so I figured I'd better start saying good-bye.

I'm sorry to be leaving the forum on the lurch, so to speak (or do I overestimate my own usefulness?), but you know how it goes. Real life > internet stuff. However, I, like General MacArthur before me, will return. This forum was partially my idea, after all, and I hope to see it thriving in two years. If you all, over time, bring in more people of like quality to yourselves, I'll have no worries.

I'll make another post when I really leave, but in the intervening month and a half my activity will likely be very patchy, since I've got lots to do. Just so you know.

I for one will miss you. Not that you did anything around here , but you are genuinely a good guy, who is mature beyond his ears..er...years. Please gather the email addys of those you may want to contact when you get a chance, just in case something horrible befalls this site. Certainly you could find a little time to send us some pictures of you at the slots, or gorging at the Circus Circus breakfast buffet. I would enjoy a little msg from you now and then.
